Environmental Justice Art Museum by Tara Vasanth

I worked with Professor Alan Braddock from William & Mary’s Art and Art History Department to develop an online art museum called the EJAM.

EJAM explores the relationship between art and environmental justice in a variety of contemporary contexts, emphasizing the role of imagination and creativity in critical inquiry, public communication, education, and activism — and related dilemmas.

EJAM and the Environmental Humanities Hub are powered by a dedicated group of students and faculty members at the William & Mary whose interests and expertise span multiple departments and disciplines.

Professor Alan Braddock is the creator and director of this collaboratively-constructed online museum and its parent organization (The Hub). It’s a true pleasure to be a part of this initiative!

Please visit the EJAM website here.

The Flat Hat by Tara Vasanth

The Flat Hat has been the College of William and Mary's student newspaper since 1911! I am thrilled to be a part of this driven, diligent community of writers, photographers, and artists. I have been illustrating for the newspaper for my first two years, and am so proud to be the next Graphics Editor.

Foofaraw Podcast by Tara Vasanth

Without further ado, I am proud to present my and my friend Maddy’s new podcast show Foofaraw! Since the pandemic, I realized that I had ample time on my hands. So why not fill some of those hours doing something productive? Like creating a podcast that focuses on the peripheral, preposterous facts of our reality.

Hence, the name, Foofaraw; this word perfectly sums up the mission of the show. Foofaraw, by definition, means a great deal of fuss or attention given to a trivial thing.

If you are interested, please take a listen to our first episode (the link is provided below)! Foofaraw is now available on Spotify and iTunes too. Please email your feedback and/or ideas to: foofaraw.theworld@gmail.com

Foofaraw, forever! Click here to start listening to the commotion!
